- Mr. Lane brings over 15 years experience in healthcare and has held strategic management positions for several Fortune 500 companies as well as Big 4 consulting practices.
Preceding his role with 6Connex, he served as vice president of corporate development for Simpson Healthcare, where he was responsible for strategic planning and development as well as partnerships and alliances. In addition, Brian was vice president of market development with AHA Solutions, a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association committed to achieving the highest levels of operational efficiencies for healthcare providers to deliver the best possible care to their patients and communities.
Brian received an MS degree from Rush University's Health System Management Program and a Bachelor of Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), a Fellow in Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (FHIMSS) and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management Systems (CPHIMS). He is currently certified as a Security and Compliance Specialist (CSCS) and holds a graduate certificate in Healthcare Ethics from Rush University as well as an executive certificate in e-business from Loyola.
He is an active member of: ACHE-American College of Health Care Executives, ASAE-American Society of Association Executives, HCCA-Health Care Compliance Association, HFMA-Health Care Financial Management Association, HIMSS-Health Care Information Management Systems Society, and is a co-founder of CHITA-Chinese Health Care Information Technology Association and the Healthcare Advisory Committee for AT&T.
Brian serves as a faculty member at Rush University and on the following advisory boards for HIPAA Academy, Patient Engagement Advisors, PatientMD,and the advisory board for Cisco and HIMSS with the Connected Community Association.
