Virtual Events
The term "virtual event" can be used to describe many different
types of virtual marketing activities. Most people think of virtual
events and they think of a trade show with a virtual exposition
hall or virtual expo, a virtual conference center and a networking
lounge for attendees at the virtual event to talk with one another.
In reality, that is just one type of virtual event. Virtual events
include
virtual meetings,
webcasts, webinars, virtual demo areas, and other kinds of
virtual marketing activities.
The virtual trade show, there's usually an exhibit hall featuring many companies that have virtual booths and virtual meeting spaces. These virtual booths are usually staffed by company employees that can interact with the attendees through chat, audio and sometimes video. Most booths in the virtual trade show will have various kinds of materials to download as well as videos and even presentations that the attendee can see. Besides the virtual exhibit hall, almost all virtual events offer content that the attendee is interested in. Most producers of virtual events agreed that the quality of the content and its relevance to the audience is what will attract the audience in the first place and once they attend the virtual event, the content is what will keep them engaged.
The networking lounge at a virtual trade show is often one of the more popular locations just as they are in physical events. Attendees go to the networking lounge where they can view other attendees profiles invite them into discussions. Some virtual events allow you to see all the non-private chats that people are having to so that you may join people's conversations.

A tip, use your "shift" key to zoom in to read better. This is newish technology and, like everything else--beta, it is not immediately obvious how to make the type larger but the shift key is the best.
